Mv memories of Jeannie will live in my heart forever, because we shared 67 years of friendship and sisterhood together.
Jeannie was fun, witty, competitive, talented, and had a heart of gold. The love she had for her family was endless and there was nothing that she wouldn't do for them. On the entertainment side, Jeannie loved to watch old tv shows, westerns and movies.
Many she could recite by heart. And I shall not forget to mention the love she had for sports: tennis, basketball, college football and her NFL team- the Cleveland Browns.
During the last several months of her life, she told me that she watched the tv show The Golden Girls" and that she admired the show because it exemplified our friendship. So, I decided to send her a card and wrote the lyrics for her so that she could read or sing them whenever she felt the need.
From that day forward, I would sing the first verse of the theme song before ending our phone conversations and boy how she would laugh every time.
So my final words to you, Jeanne, are God Bless you, rest in peace, I miss and love you "thank you for being a friend".
Love,
Sandy

RWG Jeanne!
I will always remember the fun times we had in Mitchell Hall . We kept our side of our dorm hopping. Your sense of humor will not be forgotten.
May the love of your friends carry you on your journey!
