Anthony Wayne Plantz was born in Springfield Ohio on June 2, 1977. He passed away May 2, 2023. There will be a showing on Sunday, June 4 from 12noon-4pm at VFW on East Main St., Springfield.

Plantz... as we all called him in Iraq!
I got stationed at Al Asad Airbase (AAAB) in December 2023. One of the first people I met with Plantz he was gregarious, outgoing and always had a smile on his face. We would spend our evenings with the Iraqi military, playing dominoes and smoking hookah.
Soon after arriving, we found we had a connection between us... Mainly that I was interested in building a pool... And He knew how to do it! I laughed as we went to the Air Force and asked to borrow a forklift... They, of course, immediately handed us the keys... And Anthony climbed up inside... He stopped for a moment to look at me and said, do you want to drive it? I hollered up at him and said I don´t have a license for this... He says neither do I but they don´t appear to care lol And the way we went :-)
Over the next two months, we spend a considerable amount of time together. We will say procuring items necessary necessary for the pool development :-) Anthony knew everybody, his smile was infectious, his positive attitude, put everybody at ease. I will most certainly miss my friend! I will miss as he regaled me with his stories and aventures of his travels! The most certainly lived in life that will be remembered by everyone that he touched!
