Ryan was an outstanding young man who was always polite and courteous. I never heard someone say a bad word about him. So so talented in so many many ways. Tragic

(I wanted to add more to my other one but it wouldn´t let me)
Mr. Deffet was the sweetest person I had ever met. The first time I met him was when he was reading my physics test to me my freshman year. At first I was kind of intimidated by him, but as the year went on, we shared a lot of laughs and he had continued to be my reader for my physics test. Every morning I walked by the front desk and see that he always had a smile on his face and was always ready to greet me in the morning. After lunch, I would walk out of the gym and see he was always ready to start a conversation. He was such a big part of the Wolcott community and we are so devastated about his loss.

Mr. Deffet was the kindest soul I had ever met. Every morning I would walk into school, I would smile and give him a peace sign. He always made me laugh and always believed in me as a student. Everytime I would walk out of lunch, I would see him at the front desk and I would ask him how his day was going, he always replied with such positive things. Getting to know Mr. Deffet was such an amazing opportunity. He was the kindest most sweetest soul you could ever meet. I never thought that the last time I said "bye, have a nice weekend!" was my last and final words to him. He was such a huge part of the Wolcott community and we miss him so much.

I knew Mr. Deffet from being at Wolcott during my first year. We first met when he was an adjunct for my Chicago History class, and from then on, we always enjoyed talking to each other. After several months of being an assistant teacher, he got promoted to the front desk, and everyone was unfortunate because we didn't want him to not be in the class anymore. But it turned out to be a gift in disguise because every time you walked into the building, the first person to greet you was Mr. Deffet. He would throw up peace signs and give you fist bumps whenever you talkwas to him at the front desk. Mr. Deffet was also a part of the multiple Art Showcases at school, assisting with the sound and lighting. I always stood near him when he worked with the sound and lights.
After knowing Mr. Deffet for a year, I felt like I'd known him my whole life because he was the type of person to make you feel comfortable and welcome. No one had a bad thing to say about him, and everyone appreciated his kind and unique personality. I remember the last time I talked to him before he passed. It was Friday, and he always announced when the bus would be leaving at 5 o'clock for those who stayed after school, so I told some people to hurry up because the bus would leave. Still, they brushed me off, saying they'll announce it when it's time to go. So I turned to Mr. Deffet and asked him kindly if he would mind telling me that the bus was here, and he, being his sweet and lovely self, said, "Of course!" I walked over to him and said, "I wanted it to seem like I had the powers of God" (I'm such a strange person). He laughed, and then I asked what he planned on doing over the weekend, and he said he would be traveling. I wondered if he liked traveling a lot, and he said yes. I nodded and ensured I would say goodbye to him before leaving. "Have a nice weekend, Mr. Deffet! See you next week!" I walked out the door, not knowing. It would be the last time I would see him.
