Brown, SM, Bro. James Patrick

Bro. James Patrick Brown, SM, age 82 of Dayton passed away on October 15, 2023. He was born in Cleveland to the late Ralph and Virgina (Speice) Brown. He was preceded in death by his brother, David and is survived by his sister, Mary Ellen Miller and her husband, Dennis and several nieces and nephews. He graduated from St. Joseph High School in Cleveland in 1959 and professed first vows in the Society of Mary (Marianists) in 1960. He earned a BS in Education from the University of Dayton in 1964 and taught at Covington Catholic High School in Covington, Kentucky, Purcell High School in Cincinnati, and Chaminade-Julienne High School in Dayton. Since 1989, he ministered at Marianist Mission in the field of development. Visitation will be held at Queen of Apostles Church on the campus of Mount Saint John in Beavercreek on Saturday, October 28 at 9:00am followed by a Mass of Christan Burial at 10:15am. Burial will follow immediately at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. A luncheon will follow the services. Streaming link is: https://youtube.com/live/B2rkUou7Bqk. Glickler Funeral Home handling arrangements.

We were always blessed by Uncle Jim's thoughtful cards, infectious laugh and fun sense of humor. He is watching over us all now, from a better place, but he will be greatly missed. We are grateful to the Brothers in Dayton for all of their care and support!
