Jay always treated me (and others) with the respect of a fellow musician and human. My memories of him always - and will continue - to bring a smile to my face. Today I am sad, yet happy to have known such a true-hearted person, and am grateful for the positive influence he had on my life.
My sincere condolences to the Madewell family and to Jay's friends. May his memory be a blessing to all.
