I grew up living next to Effie and Troy on willowdale. They were wonderful people! Effie was the sweetest and kindest soul.
I had never heard of a name like hers when I was little so once she told me her name and how it was spelled, I jumped on the trampoline for days and days saying "e-f-f-ie-ie -e-f-f-ie".
My mom and Effie thought it was cute and always asked me how it was spelled after that.
They will both be missed.
