Aunt Zola was a favorite aunt of mine. I have many fond memories of the visits we had between each change of duty station when moving to a new military base. Being one of only two kids in our family, and moving to other countries every two to three years meant that holidays were quiet compared to "normal" families. Just sitting around the dinner table was exciting for me...at her house it was always a home cooked meal, with my four cousins and my sister and I - true chaos- but loved every minute of it. AND when Aunt Faye and Uncle Hugh came from Kentucky to visit with us st the same time, bringing our other 4 cousins with them --well, it was pure bliss!! Kids sleeping on every available floor space- wall-to-wall bodies, staying up all night talking and catching up, and Marathons of game play - whether it was card games, Jack's, pick-up sticks, it didn't matter. These visits/holidays even with the madness and chaos were the best that a girl could wish for - a huge family get together. Incase you didn't know it or I forgot to tell you....I love you Aunt Zola and thanks for all the wonderful memories!

Zola was probably the most soft spoken gentle woman I can ever remember knowing. She showed a genuine love of my daughter Angel, who has multiple Handicaps, and seemed to understand that Zola had a heart of an Angel. She was deeply loved by all her family, and I have must respect and fond memories of her. R.I.P. sweet lady
