Janice Stephenson Obituary
Janice A. (Parker) Stephenson, age 81 of Springfield, Ohio passed away August 20, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was born November 20, 1942 in Columbus, Ohio to the late William and Florence (DeVault) Parker. Jan is survived by her loving daughters, Traci Haerr, Sheri (Chris) Slattery, and Lori Rice, grandchildren, Michael (Carolyn) Stephenson, Heather (Matt) Stephenson, Scott (Kristen) Morris, Travis (Emma) Morris, Mackenzie Rice, and Parker Slattery, great-grandchildren, Madison, Skylar, Payton, Carter, Axel, and Brooke, great-great grandchild, Elian, sister, Betty Straub, sister-in-law, Nancy (Parker) Jordan as well as many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Parker, and brother-in-law, Thomas Straub. Jan was an alumni of the Springfield City Hospital School of Nursing. She retired from the State of Ohio. She was an active member of Northridge United Methodist Church. Family and friends will be received on Monday, August 26, 2024 from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Jackson Lytle and Lewis Life Celebration Center, Springfield. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Northridge United Methodist Church. Burial to follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be expressed to the family by visiting www.jacksonlytle.com. Memorial donations may be made to the Northridge United Methodist Church or American Cancer Society in Jan's honor.
