I am very grateful to Spencer. On September 1954 he picked me up at the Biltmore where a shuttle dropped me of from the airport where I had arrived from Bogotá to attend Ga Tech. I spent a few days at his home until I got settled at the dorm. Enternaly greatfull to him and his parents for their kind and warm hospitality.

I met Mr Spencer while working at Publix. It was always a pleasure when I got to see him on his weekly trips with Beverly. I always looked forward to Friday's and our weekly chats. He was one of the kindest and nicest ppl I have ever met. I will miss him. His integrity and character was something that made him unique in the world today. I'm blessed to have known him and treasure the impact he made on me and his other friends at Publix.

I would catch up with Spencer as he would be walking his corgi in the neighborhood on Brookview Drive. He was always smiling and we shared talking about growing up in Atlanta. And we were both Ga Tech fans. He will be greatly missed.

Mary Anne,
I am so sorry to read of Spencer's death. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your sons and their families. I pray that The Good Lord will give you His peace and comfort. I know you have many fond memories to cherish and sustain you into the future just as I have my many memories of growing up with you on Arden Road. Know that I am with you in spirit, my friend.
