niece in Florida
November 6, 2024
A compassionate and kind father and husband and relative, he was a person who never uttered one word that wasn't caring or positive in my vicinity and was always a mighty lighthouse while demonstrating immense caring for faith, family, and his country during all of our interactions. He is surely missed by all of us who were blessed to have known him as a good example of a fine human being. I only wished we had lived closer as I was his oldest niece who loved him (and still love his family and beloved wife of 70 years). Peace be with his wife and all of his surviving family members and friends.

I was just thinking about the Skeeters Family two days ago when I passed their old house on Palatka Road in Louisville. Then I decided to see how they were doing and I looked up Neal Skeeters online and saw the obituary. I remember my Mom ( Martha Thornhill) who graduated with Neal, talking about the Manual days and her being a big Manual sports fan. I went to grade school briefly with Mike and played ball also at Beechmont. Neal was a good and accomplished man. Rest in Peace Neal and condolences to the family.

Brad and family, I have so many fond memories of the Skeeters family while
at Lakeside HS, cheering you boys on the sports fields. You are blessed to have your Dad for so many years of happy memories.
Blessings to all.
