Ola Senorita! I will miss this greeting that started every one of our conversations. I will miss your voice which always made me smile. I will miss your enthusiasm to hear about my kids. I will miss chatting w you about nothing at all. I will miss you! Rest in peace my friend.

Dear Perkins Family,
I'm so saddened by Yetive's passing. I really enjoyed working with her for the last 21 years. I work remotely, and I'm greatly reliant on people at the office helping me out when I need something. She always took the time to answer my questions and provided me assistance whenever I called. If a customer called me to complain about not scheduling a service visit, I would tell them that their account was in arrears and I couldn't schedule it.
They would complain further and then Yetive would get involved and back me up. Their noise stopped and their bill would be paid. If I was working in the area, I would visit the office later in the day, and I could count on Yetive to still be there after 5:30pm, and we would catch up. I really enjoyed working with her.
She would often ask me about my family. She surprised me with a wedding gift when I got married eleven years ago. When my daughter was born, she would ask to see pictures of how she was doing. When my family and I passed through Cincinnati on vacation and stopped at the office, I would schedule ahead and be sure that she would be around to visit with my family.
I would be remiss if I didn't mention her clothes! She was always a snappy dresser, dressed to the nines. I'd have marks in my clothes from chemical burns, and there she was, with some type of outfit she could go clubbing or to church in.
My daughter is of Mexican descent and every year to celebrate her culture, we make an ofrenda to celebrate Dia de los Muertos at the beginning of November. It's an altar that's set up to honor friends and family that have passed on to keep their memories alive. We will be adding Yetive to the ofrenda to celebrate her life for years to come. A great woman taken too soon. We will speak your name!
