Garrett, Paul Leonard

Paul Leonard Garrett age 91 of Leland, NC, peacefully joined his wife Thelma and son Mark in heaven on December 21,2024, after a lengthy battle with Dementia.

Paul was the son of Willard and Mabel Garrett born on September 16, 1933, Springfield, Ohio.

He was a devoted brother, husband for over 67 years to Thelma, a Father to three children; Mark Garrett; (deceased), Pamela Pollock (Timothy), and Deborah Schleef (Stanley). He was blessed to be a Grandfather to have six grandchildren (Linda, Teresa, Angela, Maria, Brian, and Diana) and a Great Grandfather to eight great-grandchildren.

Paul served in the United States Air Force and achieved the rank of Master Sergeant~ retiring after 26 years of service to the country.

He continued sharing his talent as Contract Electrical Engineer at Wright Patterson Air Force Base for another 25 years.

Paul enjoyed competitive Pistol shooting during his military career and as civilian. He enjoyed hobbies in woodworking, tinkering on many things, and had a good sense of humor.

Paul put his feet down on numerous parts of the world traveling with Thelma by his side. He traveled to all fifty states, Europe, Egypt, China, and South America

Paul was preceded in death by, his son Mark Garrett in 2005 and his beloved wife Thelma in October 2022. Paul is survived by his younger brother Phillip Garrett.

A celebration of life will be 3:00 PM Friday January 3, 2025 at Wilmington Funeral & Cremation Leland Chapel, Leland, NC 525 Village Road Leland, NC 28451.
