Judith Smith Obituary
passed peacefully on December 27, 2024, in her hometown of Dayton, Ohio, at the age of 82. Born on December 5, 1942, Judy brought joy and warmth to everyone who knew her. Judy dedicated over 20 years of her career to Composites One, where her hard work led her to rise to the position of Branch Manager before transitioning to the Corporate Office. An alumna of Eaton High School, Class of 1960, Judy's pursuit of knowledge continued at Bowling Green University. Judy is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, Ron Smith, with whom she shared a rich life full of adventures and affection. Her legacy lives on through her four cherished children: Michelle Williams (Tim), Brandon Smith (Tabitha), Rhonda Covert (Rich), and Rob Smith; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Beth Renner; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Eva Mendenhall; brothers, Woody Mendenhall and Billy Renner; and sister, Barbara Jean Mendenhall. Judy had a passion for life, enjoying activities such as camping, boating, and golfing. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2025, from 12:00 - 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM, all at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Park Cemetery, Beavercreek. She will be sorely missed but lovingly remembered by all. To share a memory of Judy, please visit www.NewcomerDayton.com
