Smith (Thoma), Susan Elizabeth

Susan Elizabeth Smith, age 76, of Dayton, passed away January 11, 2025. Susan was born in Dayton, Ohio on July 3, 1948 to the late William and Helen Thoma. Susan is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jimmie; and her beloved dogs who crossed the Rainbow Bridge. She is survived by husband of 45 years, Stephen Smith; children, Anthony Rodgers and Bobbie Rodgers; sisters, Patricia (Steve) Pribish and Kay (Doug) Stukenborg; various nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friends. Susan retired from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base after 33 years as a Secretary and Stenographer. She was a lifetime member of Holy Family Parish. In her free time, she enjoyed walking, exercising, gardening, reading and bird watching. Her favorite vacation spot was visiting Avery Lake in Lewiston, MI. Susan was a caring, giving and loving wife, mother, sister and friend. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Susan's memory to SISCA. There will be an interment at a later date at Dayton National Cemetery.

i had found out from anthony about his mom, sue and i did so much when we were young, went to school both grade and high school, she was a joy to be around and i cherish the memories, so sad to her this
