Virginia Myers Obituary

Myers, Virginia

Age 100, of Brookville, OH passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Myers; son, Tom Myers; sister, Betty Flayer. Virginia graduated from Roosevelt High School and Wright State University. Virginia went on to teach for 30 years with her best friend and teaching partner Peggy Kidwell at Trotwood Madison Park Elementary. She was an active member of Antioch United Methodist Church. She is survived by her children, Jim (Marsha) Myers of Stowe, OH and Bonnie (Gordon) Harris of Clayton, OH; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 22 at GILBERT-FELLERS FUNERAL HOME 950 ALBERT RD., BROOKVILLE. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. I was fortunate to have Mrs. Myers for 5th and 6th grade. She was the best teacher I´ve had at any level of my academic journey. She cared for her students fiercely while expecting us to do and be our best. Prayers and warm thoughts for all who will miss her.
