I just finished watching the live stream of Aunt Marona's Homegoing Celebration. What a beautiful and fitting tribute to such an amazing woman! I'm so grateful to Paula and her family for allowing me to share in a small part of Aunt Marona's exceptional life. What a Blessing she is.

I am 63 years old and I very much remember Mrs. Marshall as an absolute wonderful music teacher and such a lovely kind person. I believe Mike (we used to call Mikey Marshall) played on a baseball team my dad Paul Leep coached when he was young. I send my sympathies and prayers to the family of Mrs. Marshall. Sincerely Anne (Leep) Morgan

Well done, good and faithful servant. When my sister texted me and informed me of Mrs. Marshall´s passing it surprised me when I instantly said Alice Marshall? I usually can´t remember anyones name. She has lived in my heart and imbedded in my memories. RIP Thank you.

I was a choir student at South from 1984 to 1987 and loved Mrs. Marshall dearly! She was a wonderful person and teacher. I have such fond memories of my time as her student and am so grateful I was able to have her as a part of my life for a few years.

I was blessed to be able to sing with Mrs Marshall for many years when I was a young member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. She was always such a kind soul and showed the true love of Christ in everything she did. It was an honor to know her. With much love to her family - Nancy Toy

Mrs. Marshall was a gracious and friendly lady whenever we met. I knew her through South High School where my son Donovan attended and sang in the school choir. She was a lovely person and will surely be missed by all who knew her. Condolences to the family from the Nolcox family.

Mrs. Marshall was the best listener and would always give me solid advice. On my returns home, I would always stop bye to check on her, but more just to listen and hear that Laugh. She adapted to Pam so easy and made her feel like she was part of our Family. You will be Dearly Missed and know Pam and I will continue to pray for the Marshall Family

Mrs. Marshall touched so many lives at South High School with her students and the faculty. Being a 1st soprano for her was a treat, she always had extra tricks on how to hit those high notes. All of our lives have been touched by this wonderful lady who has left thousands of amazing memories with us all. May God hold your family in his loving arms during this difficult time of loss.

Mrs. Marshall was such an inspiration to me in choir at South High. Being a second soprano made me nervous and she gave me the courage in myself to sing out! She showed us girls that we could do anything as she had! She loved her job!! I saw her a few years back at Oakwood when I was visiting an old neighbor and she remembered my name and when I was at South! What a remarkable woman!

It saddens my heart to hear of Mrs. Marshall's passing. I got to spend time with her while I worked at Oakwood Village. She was like a second mother to me in high school as I was active in anything musical. She was always very supportive of me and everytime she saw me she would ask me if I was still singing. She was an awesome individual who touched many lives. My condolences to her sons and family. I will miss her

Alice Marshall was one of the most influential teachers, and persons, in my life. As I sit here, I can barely find the words to express what she has meant to me for almost 50 years. I moved to Springfield in 1975 and began attending South High my junior year. She welcomed me into the choir and immediately made me feel at home in a new town, new school and new choir. South had so many amazing teachers, and "Ace" (as we all called her) was unparalleled as a choral music educator then, and as a friend and colleague during my years in the Springfield Symphony when she sang in the Symphony Chorale. I learned so much from her optimism, her joy and humor, and her belief in the goodness of people. Her smile and greeting anytime we ran into each other in town or backstage, was just the most special thing in the world. There is no one like her, and I bet I'm not alone in feeling that she was one of the brightest lights in my life!

What a sweetheart. A legend in the South H.S. community. Alice was a huge supporter of the athletic department and her musical talents were incredible.
She deserves a place in the SCSD hall of fame. Our prayers and thoughts go out to the family.
