June M. Burke

June M. Burke, 70, of Nokesville, died April 24, 2007, at the Potomac Hospital. Born June 5, 1936, in Rappahannock County, Va., she was the daughter of John and Victoria Foster Scroggins. In June of 1956, in Maryland, she married John A. Burke, who preceded her in death on Jan. 20, 2000. Besides her husband, Mrs. Burke was also preceded in death by two sons, Lonnie Burke Sr. and Victor Burke; and one sister. She is survived by two sons, Floyd Burke and his wife, Cheryl, of Stafford, and Timothy D. Burke of Oklahoma; one brother, Floyd Scroggins of Winchester; one daughter-in-law, Sarah Burke of Nokesville; six grandchildren, Glinda Gillespie, Angela Nasco, Hollie Burke, Lonnie C. Burke Jr., James Frew and Esther Duncan, and five great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 26, 2007, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Baker Funeral Home, 9320 West St., Manassas. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 27, 2007, at 2:30 p.m. in the Baker Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be private.
