Helen Faye Shaver

Services for Helen Faye Shaver, 82, of Palestine, will be held 10 a.m Tuesday in the Bailey and Foster Chapel with Dr. Barry Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Fields Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Bailey and Foster Funeral Home.Mrs. Shaver died Saturday at the Cartmell Home for Aged. She was born July 7, 1925 in Palestine to Robert Odom and Josie Kite Odom.Mrs. Shaver was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Terry Jack Shaver; sister, Grace Dressell; and granddaughter April Shaver. She is survived by her husband of 65-years, Jack Shaver; sons: Donald Shaver and Randy Shaver and wife Louann; daughters: Glenda Scroggins and husband Ken and Sherry Shaver all of Palestine; eleven grandchildren: Stewart Shaver, Scott Shaver, Jamie Woods, Delaina Callahan, Dechelle Castillo, Dara Pace, Shaina Dawson, Kerri Hudgins, Jeremy Jett, Amy Quick, and Deann Leisch; twenty-five great, grandchildren and one great, great grandchild; and a sister Doris Wynne of Elkhart.Pallbearers will be Stewart Shaver, Scott Shaver, Jeremy Jett, Phillip Castillo, Shon Callahan, David Warren and Michael Pace.Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Bailey and Foster Funeral Home.
