Freda Hopper Obituary

HOPPER - Freda Bernice (Wilborn), born May 6, 1922 in Dillard, OK to John and Pearl (Eddington) Wilborn, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2007, Tulsa, OK., a city she always claimed as the most beautiful city to live in. She is preceded in death by: her husband of 62 years, the Honorable Judge Clifford E. Hopper; 2 brothers; and 1 sister. She is survived by: their daughter, Debra Beatt, her husband, Keith, Tulsa, OK; 2 sisters: Katy Scroggins and her husband, Gaylon, Oklahoma City, OK, Aliene Chastien, Memphis, TN; 3 grandchildren: Biana Howell, husband, David of Portland, OR and London, England, Lauren Shryock, North Hollywood, and Miles Shryock of Tulsa. Also survived by many brothers and sisters-in-law as well as nieces and nephews. Freda loved animals which included many pets. She has many friends from the Tulsa Bar Auxiliary, her Bunko Group of over 50 years and the Ladies from The Lunch Bunch and most recently her 3 loving caregivers: Lisa, Ivy and Jody. She will be missed by all who knew her. Service 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 28, 2007, Southminster Presbyterian Church, 3500 South Peoria, Tulsa, OK. Following the service there will be a short reception at the church. In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to Animal Aid of Tulsa, 3307 E. 15th Street, Tulsa, OK. 74112. I will never forget "winning" an water color that Freda had painted for the Bar Auxiliary. Clifford wanted to make sure that I paid top dollar! We treasure this, and I am proud to have known your parents as friends!
