Madelyn Marinuzzi Obituary

Madelyn Marie DeSenti Marinuzzi, 74, of North Haven, died Dec. 12, 2007, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was the widow of Carlo A. Marinuzzi Sr.
Madelyn was born March 8, 1933, in New Haven, to the late Samuel and Lavinnia Scroggins DeSenti. She was a resident of North Haven for 54 years, and a parishioner of St. Barnabas Church. Madelyn began work as a volunteer and eventually became a delivery room nurse at Yale-New Haven Hospital before raising her family.
She is survived by six children, Carlo Marinuzzi Jr., Anthony (Gail) Marinuzzi, Paul (Anne) Marinuzzi, Madelyn (Michael) Sola, and Elizabeth (Thomas) Mitchell, all of North Haven, and Donna (Robert) Slattery, of Wallingford; 10 grandchildren; her brothers, Fred, Thomas and Lawrence DeSenti; her sisters, Rita Borzenski, Bette Ansonoff, Lavinnia Teodosio; several nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends. She was predeceasd by her brothers, Samuel, James and Louis DeSenti.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Dec. 15, 2007, at St. Barnabas Church. Interment was in All Saints Cemetery. The North Haven Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 538 Preston Ave., Meriden, CT 06450.
