Paul Hunter Obituary

Paul Myron Hunter 1979 ~ 2008 Paul Myron Hunter, 28, loving son, brother, uncle and friend passed away in his sleep March 27th in Las Vegas, Nevada of natural causes. He was born October 23, 1979 in Casper, Wyoming to Randy S. Hunter and Deborah Bennion. Paul was full of life and gathered friends everywhere he lived, including Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, and Casper. Paul was attending school at the Community College of Southern Nevada with the intention of becoming a dentist. He was an Eagle Scout and faithfully served an LDS mission to Torreon, Mexico and brought Gerardo Rocha (Jennifer) into our lives. Upon returning from his mission, Paul generously donated a kidney to his brother, Ben, literally saving his brother's life. Whenever he was picked on, his defense would be, "I gave a kidney." Paul's generosity and kind heart inspired everyone who knew him. Paul was always willing to serve others and lived his short life by finding joy in everything he did. Paul loved to play and spent hours with his friend Lisa Buroojy entertaining his nieces and nephews. He loved listening to Jimmy Buffet, watching the Denver Broncos, and participating in various outdoor activities. Paul was a funny guy, and always brought laughter to those around him, sometimes not intentionally. We will especially miss his smile and laughter! He is survived by his loving family: parents Randy Hunter (Renee), Deborah Swapp (Ron); siblings Nicole Cushing (Jon), Ben Hunter (Laura), Megan Wingerter and Desirae Wingerter; and step-siblings Daniel Roos (Elizabeth), Ben Roos (Amy), Rebekah Gold (Victor), and Rachel Albertsen (Ryan). Paul especially loved, and was loved by, his nieces and nephews. Although we are saddened that Paul will no longer be with us in this life, we look forward to the day when we will see him again and enjoy his company. Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 12th, at 11:30 a.m. at the Seven Hills Ward, 875 Rich Perez Jr. Dr, Henderson, Nevada. Burial will be in Casper, Wyoming on April 18th. Paul had a contagious personality, full of love and optimism. I remember the affect he had on people in Mexico. He was so well received. It was a great pleasure to work with Paul. I love him and will indeed miss him. He served the Lord well. I pray that his family and friends will be comforted with peace and hope at this time. His memory will live on with me forever.

Paul, I'll eat some tacos at the corner in front of Sears for you the next time I am in SLC.

I met Paul in Torreon as our time in the mission briefly overlapped. He left just a few months after I arrived in Mexico. I remember working with Paul very vividly and recall well his lively and fun personality. May the Lord's comfort and blessings be with those close to Paul.

What a loss. Paul's cousins (and their children) will miss him too. I loved to watch him laugh...it was contagious. I like to think that he's getting a chance to get to know our little one before s/he arrives here on earth (how lucky for her/him).
