Calvin W. Roy

Calvin W. Roy, 80, of Vincennes, Ind., passed away Monday, August 4, 2008. Born March 18, 1928, in Lawrence City, Ill., to William W. and Effie P (Rose) Roy. Calvin served his country proudly from November of 1946 to November of 1949 in the US Army. On Jan. 8, 1949, he married Norma Jean and they enjoyed each others company for 50-plus years. Calvin retired from Ford Motor Company. Mr. Roy was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one daughter; one sister; and three brothers. Survivors include daughters, Janet (Roy) Guyer, Joyce (Artie) Scroggins, Debra (Danny) Williams, Karen (Bart) Johnston, Zona (Troy) Siebold; sons, Cal (Shirley) and Randy (Shelly) Roy; a sister, Mildred Stephens; 30 grandchildren; and 32 great grandchildren. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, at White Chapel Funeral Home.
