Phyllis Mutter

PHYLLIS J. MUTTER MERRITT ISLAND Phyllis J. Mutter, 81, of Merritt Island, a homemaker and an Avon Representive, died Friday, October 17, 2008 in Titusville. Phyllis was born in Pikeville, KY and came to Brevard County in 1961 from Jacksonville, FL. Phyllis worked as an Avon representative since 1967. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Cape Canaveral. Phyllis taught 1st grade Sunday School at First Baptist Cape Canaveral and First Baptist of Merrit Island churches for over 40 years. She is survived by two sons, Bobby G. Mutter and his wife, Clara, of Titusville, and James W. (Joe) Mutter and his wife, Cheryl, of Merritt Island; seven grandchildrren, Trey Powers, James (Jimmy) Mutter, Rebekah Golden, Kim Mutter, Jamie Black, Joseph Mutter, and Rachel Mutter; nine great- grandchildren; and a sister, Nell Perry of Thompson, GA. She was predeceased by her faithful husband of 51 years, James W. (Bob) Mutter. Phyllis was loved by all and will be greatly remembered and missed. Calling hours are Monday, October 20th at 10 a.m., fol lowed by services at 11 a.m. at Florida Memorial Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Cape Canaveral Building Fund.
