J.D. Goff Obituary
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 26, in Baker-Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memory Gardens with David Joyner, Jeff Joyner, Bill Johnston, Vance Murphy and Ben Ricks serving as pallbearers.
Born Sept. 5, 1917, in Ashburn, Ga., he was the son of the late William Daniel Goff and Mollie Royals Goff. He was retired from Swift Co. and owned his own car dealership and sold cars for 33 years. He was known in his dealership as "The Wheel" and his family said he was a well-known and respected businessman. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Carlton Goff; and brothers, Jo Goff, James Goff and Chester Goff.
Survivors include daughter, Betty Frances Goff and significant other of years, Katie Joyner of Moultrie; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 26, at the funeral home.
Baker-Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
