Virginia Quinn Obituary

Virginia R. Quinn, 60, of East Stroudsburg, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 3.

Born Oct. 19, 1949, in Oklahoma City, Okla., she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Elizabeth (Shelton) Russell.

She was a graduate of Clara Barton School of Nursing in Brooklyn, N.Y. She did an internship at St. Vincent's Hospital in New York. She worked as a nurse for many years.

Virginia was president of the Shirley Futch Foundation. She also was a senior volunteer. She enjoyed volunteering for Christmas for Critters in East Stroudsburg. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are four daughters, Elizabeth (Ray) Okula, Mastic L.I., N.Y., April J. Fotiathis of Pennsylvania, Samantha Sue M. Daggett of Scranton, and Tabithia J. Quinn of Michigan; three sons, Michael A. Greggo and Charles L. Greggo, both of Phoenix, Ariz., and Thomas J. Quinn II of Nanticoke; two brothers, William D. Russell of Taylor, Mich., and Charles E. Russell of Binghamton, N.Y.; a sister, Rosalyn L. Boyle of Taylor, Mich.; grandchildren Erin, Lauren, Mariah, Brandon, Josie, Sara Nicole, Colin, Katelyn, Tyler, Samuel, Savanna, Ireland, Thomas III, Payton, Gabriel and Heidi Grace; her friend and neighbor, June Nicholson, and longtime best friend, Michael F. Camerino; and many other family and friends who will miss her.

Viewing will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6, at the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, 27 Washington St., East Stroudsburg. There will be an additional viewing hour from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, at Prospect Cemetery, East Stroudsburg.

Aunt Ginny Quinn, you were always my favorite we've had so much in common over the years. I will never watch the Wizard of Oz the same again and will point out all of your parts to my children. Aunt Ginny,
I miss you so much already. I wish I could be there to say goodbye or talk to you one last time. You have always meant alot to me and I loved you very much. I know your at peace but you will be so very missed. I'm glad this isn't paper I'm crying all over the place. May the lord rest and keep you.
