NICOLE JENKINS Obituary
Age 20, died at her home surrounded by her family on August 5, 2010. Loving daughter of Donna (Keith White) and Mario (Mary Beth); adored sister of Tasha (T.J.), Zachary, and step sister Madeline; and proud aunt to Giavanna. Nicki is also survived by her grandparents, Jean and Rich Cosby and Marie and John Jenkins, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins. Nicki also loved her animals Nala, Niko, Jinx and Grey Kitty. She attended Keystone Oaks High School and had many wonderful friends. Nicki was an inspiration to her family and friends as she fought a courageous battle with Osteosarcoma since the age of 16. Funeral Arrangements by BEINHAUERS. Friends welcome at 2630 West Liberty Ave. Dormont 412-531-4000 on Sunday 2-4 & 6-9pm where a Blessing Service will be held Monday, 11am. i sadly did not find out about this until recently, and i was heartbroken, i was a great childhood friend of nicki's and have many photos of us still. It's sad that bad things happen to good people, but i know that she is somewhere way better than this. She was one of the sweetest, kind-hearted people i have met. You'll never be forgotten love

I remember when Nikki was first diagnosed on 8 north. She was so young and pleasant. I also remember the last time I took care of her on 9b. I enjoyed taking care of her and talking to her everytime she needed to be with us. She was such and example of courage, bravery, strength and beauty. Donna, you are an awesome mother and I always enjoyed seeing the bond the two of you shared. It was mother/daughter, yet best friend as well. That is a hard balance to make but the two of you were able to have that. You are truly a perfect mother/daughter match. Nikki was blessed to have you as her mom, just as you were blessed to have such a wonderful daughter as Nikki. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I never met Nicki, but reading the paper I saw her obituary and I was deeply touched by how much she was loved. I am around her age and went to a high school nearby and it just reminds me life cannot be taken for granted. My deepest sympathy to the entire family and all Nicki's friends.
