Bernadette Lenk Obituary

EXETER - Bernadette M. Lenk, 84, of Exeter, formerly of Hampton, died Friday, September 10, 2010, at Oceanside Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation in Hampton.

She was born in Chicago, Illinois, on April 3, 1926, daughter of the late Thomas A. and Margaret (Green) Flynn.

Mrs. Lenk resided in Hampton for 21 years, and in Exeter since 2005.

Family members include her cherished husband of 64 years, Elmer Lenk; her loving children, Jeanne M. Weldon and husband Jack of Brookline, Massachusetts, Robert J. Lenk and wife Kyoung Soo Paik of Hong Kong, and Barbara Szarlan of Vermont; her beloved grandsons, John Weldon, Ian and Andrew Lenk; her brother, Thomas A. Flynn of Nevada; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no visiting hours. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to gather at 12 noon Tuesday, September 14, for a funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church in Hampton, with burial thereafter in the High Street Cemetery in Hampton.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society Food Bank, c/o Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, 289 Lafayette Road, Hampton, NH 03842.

My deepest sympathy to the family. Although I knew Mrs. Lenk just a short time, I was touched by her generous nature. She was a gracious lady.

My heartfelt condolences. Bernadette was truly a blessing in everyone's life that she touched, especially mine. I missed her when The Eatery closed.
