Clara Renick Obituary

SUGAR GROVE: Clara "Claire" May (Empie) Renick, 85, of Sugar Grove, passed peacefully Sunday, July 04, 2010.
Claire was born in Worth, Illinois, October 17th, 1924. Claire attended Parker High School, graduated in 3 years, and enjoyed participating in choir. She married Bill Renick October 9th, 1943 and raised 3 children. Although Claire's primary role was that of a homemaker, her career included working at RKO Pictures, Western Union, Eastman Kodak, and Avon. She lived in Lansing, Illinois, retired to Hayward, Wisconsin, then resided with her oldest daughter in Ohio for 10 years.
Survived by two daughters and one son: Karen M Parker and husband, Doug of Hide-A-Way Hills, OH, William R. Renick and wife, Judith of La Grange, IL, and Donna L. Lail and husband, Don of Cedar Lake, IN; five grandchildren: Ryan Parker and wife, Ashley of Cincinnati, OH, Beth Renick of La Grange, IL, Bill Renick and wife, Carolyn of La Grange, IL, Sarah Sata and husband, Jon of Peoria, AZ, and Donny Lail of Melbourne, FL; three great grandchildren: Taylor Renick Zorko, Justin Sata, and Kiley Renick; and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill Renick; and sister, Lucy Feldmann.
Memorial Celebration Mass will be held 9:45 a.m. Saturday, July 17, 2010 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 1343 Wheeling Rd., Lancaster, OH 43130 with Father John M. Reade presiding. Caring Cremation has taken place with the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home.
Family suggests contributions be made to The Pickering House, 282 Sells Rd., Lancaster, OH 43130.
