Mary was such a figure within the Law Enforcement community. In my days with the Reserves, Mary inspired me and gave me brilliant words of wisdom. What a pillar of society, departing far too soon. May her family and loved ones find comfort in knowing she truly touched this world.

Mary, Each momen with you was filled with fun and always insightful! From the search and rescue training with Scott in Shurburne and Wadena Counties to the trail rides in Pillager. You have always made a point to share your heart and that which is dear to you! You were a wonderful mentor and a great teacher! Until we meet again, my friend. Prayers of love and strength to those you have left behind. May God comfort you on your new journey.

Mary, I'll always remember you going full speed ahead, up and down the sidewalks outside the Law Enforcement center. You were always lugging armloads of books or equipment. I'll never forget the fun we had during the Scott County Sheriff's Citizen Academy 3 years ago. I never understood where you got all that energy. You were a great deputy and friend. It will be very difficult to find someone to walk in your shoes. Jan and I are missing you a lot.

Mary, Mary. Your time here was much too short! I just know that we would have become great friends. Please watch over us and help us thru our journey. I know that when we become lost...you will find us and lead us along the way.

I am so sad to think that Scott County has lost such a vital person. As an instructor, there was none like her. She had a spark that was always there and she never let her guard down. Mary, there has got to be some other duty the Lord has called for you as we are so going to miss you here on earth. My prayers and thoughts are with her co-workers and her family at this time.

We were so sorry to hear of Mary passing. We enjoyed her teaching skills and how dedicated she was to her job and how proud she was to wear the uniform of the Sheriff's Department. She will be deeply missed by all who have known her.
