Mrs. Carrie was a such a motivator and a woman who could see more in especially a child that meets the eye. I had a dream about Mrs. Carrie just this last week end--she was smiling and her hair do was quite lovely. There were other things in the dream--but this is what stood out! I was a part of Mrs. Carrie's kindergarten class many years ado. Where I am today, I give God the glory for using her to impact my life. I am a fired up woman of God who preaches, & teaches the Word of God, Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ because of her impact on my life. We will see you in Heaven Mrs. Carrie Rouse! Thank you!!! Pastoress Pearlene Tindle, "The River" Church at Savannah!!!

To the Rouse Family:
Only heaven can tell us the impact Mrs. Carrie made on the lives of so many. She will be missed by many--but her legacy lives on concerning "The Jesus she sang, lived and talked about. My life is richer--because I had the opportunity to sit at the feet of a saint of God--who loved Jesus and people. I stand amazed at the goodness and grace of God that you will continue to experience during this homegoing. God bless you until we meet on earth or in heaven.
Love,
Pearlene, Tami, and Breanna Tindle

It was a pleasure meeting and knowing Carrie Rouse.
First meeting her was with the Savannah Youth Mass Choir around 1973. Ms Rouse always taught songs that was quite different from the other directors. Until today I appreciate learning those hymns and spirituals. Her presence will be missed at the GMWA academic division. I loved taking her History class. She was one of the landmarks for Gospel music in Savannah. She is not here, but the songs she wrote will help us remember this great woman of God.
See you later, Aunt Carrie.
