Ivey Pearce Obituary

Ivey O'Donald Pearce, 92, of Conway, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012.
He was born June 6, 1920, in Zebulon, N.C., to the late Ivey and Lilly Pearce.
Donald was also preceded in death by his brother, Frederick Pearce.
He was a member of Central Baptist Church for almost 60 years, and he especially loved his Sunday School Class. Donald was a United States Army veteran and a member of Sheet Metal Local 249. He owned A & A Auto Rental. Donald was known for his great sense of humor and work ethic, and was always available to help someone in need.
Donald is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Maxine Pearce; daughter, Donna Pearce Blake of San Antonio, Texas; son, Steve Pearce of Greenbrier; sisters, Mary Parrish, Delores Chalk, Doris Raper; and one brother, Phillip Pearce, all of North Carolina; four grandchildren, Jennifer Blake Warren of San Antonio, Texas, Kristen Sullivan of Bauxite, Stephen Pearce, and Nicholas Pearce, both of Conway; five great-grandchildren of San Antonio, Texas, and Bauxite; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, at Central Baptist Church in Conway, with Bro. Don Chandler officiating.
Internment with military honors will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway (501-327-7727).
Serving as pallbearers will be Jim Clark, Terry Cobb, James Wiedower, Eddie Dunlap, Doug Satterwhite, and Bobby Fortenberry.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Rev. Jack Bloxom, L.C. Corbit, Louis Stell, and the members of Donald's Sunday School Class.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
