Rhoda Helrich Obituary

Helrich, Rhoda LAKE WORTH, Fla. Rhoda Helrich,77, of Lake Worth, formerly of Tappan N.Y., passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2013 surrounded by her family. Rhoda was the first licensed woman driving instructor in the state of New York, having taught hundreds of students. She was active and supported many Jewish organizations. Rhoda was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Nothing was more important to Rhoda than her family and friends, and it shows. Rhoda is survived by her dedicated and loving husband, Gerald; three children, Steven (Amy) Helrich, Alan (Donna) Helrich and Norma (Richard) Greenberg; and five loving grandchildren, Brandon and Tara Helrich, and Brian, Scott and Allison Greenberg. She is also survived by her brother, Jerry Ferman; as well many close nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank all the wonderful care takers and friends who supported Rhoda during this difficult time. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 26 at Montefiore Cemetery, Springfield Blvd, Queens, N.Y. Mourning will be observed at the residence of Norma and Richard Greenberg, 7 Stonewall Lane, Delmar, on Wednesday evening, February 27, with minyan at 7 p.m. Those who wish to lovingly remember Rhoda may make a donation to a charity of their choice.
