Alice Serold Obituary
Alice H. Serold, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 93. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugo and Elsa Harlos; her loving husband of 61 years, Walter F. Serold; grandson, Gerren J. Chambers; son-in-law, Johannes Gosvig; brother, Harold Harlos; and sister, Ellen Warnecke. Alice is survived by her daughters, Jana Lynn Gosvig and Lita Kay Chambers (Dr. James P.); granddaughters, Kirsten Gosvig Klar (Robert), Erika Gosvig King (Riley), and Neva E. Wilson (James); great-grandchildren, Kody, Zachary and Wyatt Wilson, and Jackson and Chloe King; nieces, nephews and friends. Alice will always be remembered for the love and dedication she had for her family and she will be deeply missed. A Visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, on Monday, May 6, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service officiated by Pastors Leslie Price and Marie Purcell, will be held the following morning, Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church of Alamo Heights, 6720 Broadway, with Visitation for one hour prior to the service. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ Lutheran Church or a charity of one's choice.
