Elizabeth Brown

February 18, 1922 - March 31, 2015
On February 18, 1922, God blessed Louise and Frank Falk with the most beautiful little girl, Elizabeth Louise Falk and God welcomed her home on March 31, 2015. She and her family lived in Duluth, Minnesota until she was 14, at which time they moved south to San Antonio to begin their new life in a warmer climate. She attended Alamo Heights High School where she was voted Most Popular girl, and then went off to Texas university where she was voted a Blue Bonnet Belle. In July of 1943, she met the love of her life Bryan W. Brown, Jr., an Air Force pilot, who had just returned home from World War II and was stationed at Randolph Air Force base as an instructor. In July 1943 they met on a blind date and by September of 1943 they were married. Their life took them to Lima, Peru where both their children were born. They lived in many places in the United States, but in Spangdahlem, Germany, where they lived for 3 years, she was President of the Military Wives Club. They finally retired in San Antonio. Making God and everyone else a priority made it so apparent how she lived her life. One of her Alamo Heights classmates once said, "she never heard her say anything mean about anyone", evident of her faithful walk with the Lord and tremendous love for life and respect for others. She and her family worshipped at St. David's Episcopal Church where she served on the Altar Guild, and was a dedicated member of the Daughters of the King. She was also a member of P.E.O. She was involved in many other activities, but the thing that brought her the most joy in life was being a wife and a dedicated Mother. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Bryan of 62 years, on December 7th, 2005. She leaves behind her daughter, Barbara Candace Fitch and husband Hollis Fitch (Spring Branch, Texas), her son, David Stephen Brown and wife Linda Brown (Palestine, Texas), her dear sister Mary Falk Wiles (Houston, Texas), a granddaughter Jill Brown and a great granddaughter Lily Brown (Hawaii). She also leaves many precious nieces and nephews scattered around Texas and Tennessee that thought the world of her. The family would also like to express their sincere thanks and gratitude to the nursing staff at the Army Residence Community for their unselfish care they showed their Mother in her last days. Also, to Heart to Heart Hospice care for their loving attention to Her every last need. A celebration of her life will be at 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at the Army Residence Community Chapel. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
