Dr Herbert was one of the sweetest men that you could ever meet. Amongst his many achievements he was an enthusiastic past Master of one of London's prestigious Livery Companies. Here in Edinburgh, he was a member of the Incorporation of Candlemakers. His laugh was so infectious and his wit and humour was loved by all. He certainly lit up every meeting that he attended.
