Joan Fryar Obituary
With deep sadness, the family of Joan Duecker Fryar, age 78, announces that she went to be with the Lord on June 29, 2018. Joan was born in San Antonio, Texas on September 26, 1939 to Clarence and Imogene Mahan Duecker, and recently celebrated her 59th wedding anniversary with her loving husband Lambert H. Fryar, Jr. She will be greatly missed by her children, Kelley (Denice) Fryar, and Kimberly (Daniel) Piechowiak; 3 grandchildren, Ashley and Ridge Fryar, and Jacob Piechowiak; 4 great-grandchildren, Kayden, Layton, Liam, and Luke Fryar; and her sister, Evelyn Lawson. Joan's profound love for her family and friends was matched only by her joyful sense of style and creativity. Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 from 6pm to 8pm. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:30am Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
