For many years, Bill talked about a friend who visited the Snake Temple in Penang. We found ourselves in Penang in 2002, and with nothing to do on our last day, I suggested we visit the temple. Once there, I wasn't about to let Bill get away without a memorable photo. or two. I don't know which was most shocking -- when a snake was first put on his head -- or when it started slipping down, in front of his face! This was just one of many memorable moments on trips we shared. I still miss you, my dear Bill, and can't believe you're really gone (though my memories of these times live on).

I met Bill 43 years ago on a trip to Scandanavia and Russia, and we traveled together six additional times, with my friends. He always entertained us with marvelous stories. The world is a darker place, without Bill, who spread joy and happiness everywhere. I'll miss you dearly, my friend.

Bill lived on Seabay Walk in Kismet.
I lived on Seabay Walk. For the 37 years of living there, I would venture to say, Bill was my favorite character.
These are the thoughts that come to mind when I think of Bill:
If you ever wanted to know something, ask Bill!
If you ever needed a tool or help with a project, Bill was there.
If you invited him for a meal, Bill would be entertaining from the beginning until the very end.
If you saw his home, you would know Bill was an amazingly creative carpenter and self taught.
If you were lucky to be there on the Art Show weekend, and see Bill's work displayed on his porch, you would feel his love for art and for the people.
Bill spent a lot of time, creating and sharing his thoughts and feelings on that porch.
His presence, and people like him are what make a place special..I know Kismet will miss him.so will I.

We lived next door to Bill for 15 years in Kismet and I will miss our walkway chats. He was a gentleman and truly one of the kindest people I have met. We are so sorry to see him go. Until we meet again❤
