I have met hundreds of WW11 veterans over the past 10 years. I have heard their stories and enjoyed their company. But I have never met anyone that had such a multitude of precise interesting stories as Mr. Yount. He had a tremendous memory, a love for life, an adoration for his wife and an absolute joy to be around. I was stunned to find out that he passed. I called just yesterday hoping I could come up on Monday (8-24-2020) to visit and was saddened to hear that he was gone. One more from the Geatest Generation has left us.
