I did not know him personally, but he was an Icon in Springfield. He and his wife were customers of my employer in mid 60s. They were such a handsome and well mannered couple, and both spoke kindly to me. They were special people. His contributions to Springfield will live on forever. My condolences to the family.

Don was a gentleman, He had a great sense of humor and you always knew where he stood on a matter. He had great business sense and took pride in the many projects he was involved with. Springfield is a better place because of his efforts. I had the privilege of working for him for many years prior to his retirement. Sad. He didn’t make it to 100 but he outlived Orsino by many many years.

Dear Junior, Andrew and Drew,
I am so sorry that Uncle Don has left us. He is a remarkable man and a true gentleman. I will miss my semiannual trips to his home.
I love you Uncle Don. You were always so kind to me. I remember coming to Ohio to you house when in high school and to the beach at Manasota Key as a child, as well as your home in Jupiter. You have given me many good memories. RIP

I didn’t know Don personally but knew him thru my grandfather,Herbert J Black.
They were on the Board of Directors at Security National Bank. My grandfather said he was “a good businessman” and respected and thought very highly of him.
I’m sorry for your loss.
