As a past President of Delta Kappa Gamma for women educators I would like to offer condolences to your family on the loss of a wonderful woman. Janet joined DKG on May 5, 1979. Although I did not get to know Janet as well as many of the other members I became very endeared to her. I joined the organization in 2001. Janet would often offer me words of encouragement as we talked over the phone during my Presidency. I also tried to get around to all the members at our meetings to greet them. She would many times hold my hand while she talked to me. Something I will not forget. She was just so kind and loving. Just know I was so saddened to learn of her passing. As an organization we will not forget her.

We just found out that Janet had died. We were in Vintage Voices with her at United Senior Services. Janet was always warm and friendly and always seemed to love singing and music. She was and always will be missed and I know I speak for all off the members of the chorus including Charlie and Jean Myers too. Peace be with all her family.

Janet was always a very loving and gracious woman. We met through Delta Kappa Gamma. She was always so sweet and encouraging to those of us who were young teachers. I had many great conversations with her on the phone while I was President of the group. Just know that I am thinking of your family during this difficult time.

John, I was very sorry to hear of your Mother passing. I had never met her but knew her through you when you all were in high school. She must have been a wonderful mother to have produced a very good son. Thinking of you in these difficult times. Theresa Katon
