HAWS, Barbara M.

Age 78, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021, in Dayton. She was born on October 1, 1942, to the late Robert and

Bertha Smith.

Barbara is preceded in death by her first husband, Gerald Hamp in 1983 and her second husband, Charles Haws in 2012; sister, Roberta Shilt; step-son, Joel Haws; and nephew, Otto "Bud" Hohm.

She is survived by her sister, Patricia (Otto) Hohm; step-children, Greg (Kelly) Haws and Julie Haws; niece, Beth (Walter) Hampton; nephews, Timothy (Stephanie) Borders and Louie (Sheila) Borders; great nephew, Barrett; step-grandchildren, Matt (Laura) Haws, Casey (Rebekah) Haws, Emily (Justin)

Martin, Sophie Haws, Stella Haws; and nine step-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many other loving cousins, family and friends.

Barb was happiest on the golf course, having lunch and playing dominoes with her friends, and spending time with family.

Due to COVID there will be no public services at this time. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, OH 45420 in Barb's memory. Online memories and condolences may be left for the family at www.bakerhazelsnider.com

I enjoyed meeting and talking with “Aunt Barb” during social occasions with extended family. She always seemed ready for an adventure and a laugh. I admire how she overcame obstacles in her life. My condolences to her extended family and friends.
