BARBARA ABNEY Obituary
Barbara Abney, age 83, of Fairfield, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021. She was born on July 28, 1937, in Winchester, KY, the daughter of the late Elwood and Sylvania (nee Johnson) DeVary. She was married to Linville Abney and he preceded her in death in 2015 after 59 years of marriage. She is survived by three children, Vicki Westrich, Debbie Abney-Rose, and Linville "Buddy" (Melissa) Abney; four grandchildren, Jamie Walton, Stephanie Stepp, Kathryn (Chris) Brinck, and Ryan Abney; four great-grandchildren, Shawn, Sierra, Gabriel, and Harper. She was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Jennifer Stepp and her sister, Woodie Wills. Visitation will be on Friday, January 15, 2021, at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME, 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield, from 5:00PM until the time of the funeral at 7:00PM with Rev. Jacob Flannery officiating. Burial will be on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at 12:00PM in Winchester Cemetery in Winchester, KY. Online condolences can be made at

Barbara Abney was a long time family friend to me. Her family and mine. "The Amburgy's. resided on Boehm Drive in Fairfield. Ohio. In 1970. We were next door neighbors. Barbara was a beautiful and kind soul, and would do anything she could for you. After all these years. She has become very special to me, and will always hold a very beautiful place in my heart. She will be missed by me. Kim AmburgyRamsey. and my husband, Roger Ramsey. She can now be reunited with her loving husband, Linville Abney. Our thoughts and prayers go out to family!!
