So sorry to hear of Dennis's passing. Enjoyed seeing he and Nonie when they delivered homebound meals each week. He was always cheerful and upbeat. He will be missed. Sincere condolences to Nonie and family.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.
We were friends growing up and classmates thru JH @ New Moorefield and HS at Northeastern. He was a good friend and buddy along with his brother Lester. We will miss both.

Nonsense and David,
So very sorry to learn of Denis´s death. I remember having fun at Lakewood Swim Club when our families were young. May you both be comforted by all the great memories you have made over the years. God Bless you all.

I worked with Dennis at the Springfield, OH Post Office for several years before getting my own Postmaster Appointment. We all used to kid him and call him “Sarge” as he was undoubtedly a Marine all the way! I mean that in a good way! I actually worked with both Dennis and his brother Lester. Dennis was a good guy who would tell you if you messed up or give you advice on how to do something a better way. After I left Springfield for my new Appointment, unfortunately, after only three months on my new job, some young girl with a brand new driver’s license totaled my car with me in it and I spent the next few years trying to recover, so I lost track of him, but was very happy when I heard he had gotten his own Postmaster Appointment. I can definitely see him driving a Camp bus for Kids and doing blood drives! He may have been a Marine on the outside but he was a softie on the inside! RIP Dennis! I know your work here was always top notch in your usual “Marine” fashion and that you will be missed by many!

Nonie, this breaks my heart to hear about the passing of Dennis. He was a great mentor and friend. You both are great volunteers for anything that needed to be done. He will be greatly missed but the good memories will live on throughout our lives. We love you and send our heartfelt prayers your way. Jimmie and Joan Holyfield.
