Richard Peterman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ingram Funeral Home - Marysville on Mar. 18, 2026.
Richard "Dick" L. Peterman, 80 of Marysville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday; March 17th, 2026, at his home.

One of fourteen children, Dick was born on October 8th, 1945, in Rosedale, Ohio. He was the son of the late George J. Peterman and Mary E. Peterman (Hollar). He started working at Greenbaum farms, B&B Machine Shop, and retired from Honda in the late 90s.

Dick is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Kay (Greenbaum) Peterman; children Rick (Malana) Peterman, Kelly Peterman (Matt Stump), Tom (Ashli) Peterman, and Jackie Landrum; grandchildren Logan (Kris) Michael, Lexi (Will) Day, Avery Peterman, Hunter Jarrell, and Tabitha Geiger; 3 great grandchildren, Kasen and Dawson Michael and Lucy Day; mother-in-law Marilyn Greenbaum; siblings Ruth, Janet, Mike, Sharon, Mary, Jennie, Lynn, Jerry, and Scott; in-laws Linda (Fred) Kile, Dennis (Bev) and Gary (Jennie) Greenbaum; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Dick loved to go to sales and auctions where he would wheel and deal. He loved the Lucasville days where he enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters (Logan and Lexi) as they would help him sell chickens and ducks. Some of the best memories he had was spending time with his beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren; the best grandpa and papaw, who they absolutely adored. He loved watching his westerns especially John Wayne, drinking his tomato juice, and telling the best stories. He even loved all his farm animals he had back at the farm and his two dogs Peanut and Tiny.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by father-in-law Norman Greenbaum; and siblings Wendell Peterman, Gerald Peterman, Dorothy Harsh, and Jeff Peterman; and special buddy Frank Peterman.

Visitation will be 11a-1pm Monday, March 23, 2026, at Ingram & Snyder Funeral Home, 975 N. Maple St., Marysville, where funeral services to celebrate Dick's life will begin promptly at 1 pm with Pastor Paul Schlueter officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Church cemetery.
