Carl was the best colleague a person could hope for. We first knew Patricia as our editor and then Carl. We are grateful for his kindness, his humor, his impeccable taste in words and sentences, and his generosity. Carl helps us to believe in eternal life because his spirit cannot be quenched by death. Requiem aeternum dona eis Domine: et lux perpetua luceat eis. Joan and Therese

Friends since we met in 1958. We worked together for about 8 years until Carl moved to Dayton. Our friendship and love never ended. Rachel and I will always hold Carl in our hearts. Ave atque vale, Carl
