Barbara Joan Baker, age 83 of Rockford, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the Divine Rehabilitation and Nursing Home at Shane Hill in Rockford. She was born on January 20, 1943, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, the daughter of the late Bernard A. and Doris J. (Stanley) Beausoleil. She married Lee Roger Baker, who died on December 18, 2018.
Barbara is survived by her son Lee (Beth) Baker of Calhoun, GA., daughter Karen (Daren) Bowling of Dayton, six grandchildren; Thomas (Jenna) Snell of Rockford, David Bowling of Illinois, Daren Bowling of Dayton, Dylan (Melissa) Bowling of Dayton, Miranda Koberg of North Carolina, Sarah (Steven) Whitehead of Georgia, six great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Barbara is preceded in death by her brother Bruce Beausoleil.
She graduated from Chamberlain High School in 1961. She was employed as a Human Resources Manager for Adelphia Cable Company and retired in 1995.
She enjoyed sewing and visiting the Smoky Mountains.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date, and Barbara's remains will be laid to rest alongside her husband in Tampa, Florida. Barbara's services are entrusted to the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina. Memorial contributions may be made to St Jude Hospital.
