I loved Les. He was one of my best friends. Last time we talked he never even mentioned he was sick. My heart is broken.

Les was a unique and talented man who was easy to like and whose friendship was memorable! He was also a fine host and kindly man. I don't have a current photo but Les was very proud of his portrait painted by his dear friend, Bill Malczan of Cincinnati. I couldn't say it better than the Kadons: Les was ' The Spirit of Cincinnati'!

Les was a very good friend of mine. He was a true gentleman and was always very generous. He was the first person I met (excluding the hotel bartendress) when I took a job in Cincinnati. We got to talking and found out that we shared the same birthday, although I was a year younger. He introduced me to many and eventually I introduced him to people I had met . Together we made made a sizable group to get together after work.
We kept in touch after I moved away from Cincinnati. and tried to get together once or twice during each year. I tried to talk with him once a day after they admitted him to the hospital, although he could not speak for long. We did get to say "love you" in our last conversation. When I informed my children (who knew him well from all our interactions), my son said it bet "He was a good man" my sentiments also.
I will miss you Les. Tearing up now.
Love you Les. Rest in perace.
