Hi Chuck, we are so sorry for your loss. May God comfort you and your family during these difficult days. May He provide the strength and the wisdom to move forward and to lovingly honor Barbara’s life. Though we met her only briefly a few times, her warm smile is what remains on our hearts and minds. We thank God you were blessed by her loving example, and her unselfish caregiving sacrifices. Wish we could be there with you. Until we see you again, please accept our love and prayers ❤

I met Barbara many years ago, probably 17-18, when I first started taking my cat to Upper Heights Vet Clinic. She soon became my all-time favorite veterinarian, but somewhere along the line, we became friends. We kept in touch even during times I didn't have pets, or when she worked at clinics too far away for me to take screaming cats :). She even entrusted me to adopt two special kittens she and her family had raised and fostered. I felt very honored, because I knew she wouldn't let just anyone take her precious foster "babies". I have done my best to give them a loving home and I have to say, they are the sweetest cats ever, and that is a testament to the socialization and care the Wyss family gave them in their formative months.
I will miss Barbara so much. I will miss her cheerful disposition, her funny stories, as well as trading cat stories with her, and of course, her veterinary expertise. Most of all, though, I will miss her kind and caring heart. She was such a special person. My heart and prayers are definitely with her family and all who loved her. RIP, dear, sweet Barbara. You will be very missed.
