My wife June S. Mingle passed away February 13 of this year (2023). Both of us valued Trudie's friendship as a good and dear neighbor. I was also glad to meet members of her family, particularly in the last year of her life. I am still here next door and expect to be here for several years more. Anything else I can do, e.g., photo of the house, let me know. I am also good friends with the neighbors who are renting the house, from, as I understand, a woman living in France.

June and I extend our sincere condolences to Trudy Caruso's family in her passing. We were fortunate to have her as our dear next door neighbor here on Hickory Station Circle, and I always felt honored that she had me collect her mail for her in her absence and handle any other matters she asked me to. We were glad to have had supper one evening several years ago with her and Joe in their home here before his passing. I remember Joe speaking then of his World War II service in Europe with General Patton; I had thought I might have the opportunity to spend time with Joe to write down his memories of this for his family, as I have a family genealogy hobby myself, but regrettably he passed away before they would be able to return again from New York. They both very much enjoyed their hobby of putting together jigsaw puzzles. It was important to Trudy to decorate in celebrating for holidays, and I remember collaborating with her on our displays last Halloween and on Fourth of July Independence Day last year. June and I also enjoyed our time sitting on her porch with her last July 4th. I appreciate that Trudy and her family expressed concern about my recent cancer surgery. June and I will miss our dear neighbor Trudy.

I met Gertrude for the first time when she moved back from New York, I found her very pleasant and friendly, I will miss seeing her walking the neighborhood. May the family be comforted by the memories she made.

So sorry to hear of Trudie's passing. She worked for my father for many years while living in New York. She was always so helpful and her southern charm always shined through. I will miss her.

Gyory Family

Trudie first worked for our father, Thomas Gyory, and then for Michael for many years. She was a valued member of our family and we three children, Judi, Steven and Michael have known her nearly our whole lives. She and Joe were a great part of our community and they were valued and loved partners in our business and lives. They will be missed.

My most sincere condolences to Trudie's family. I met Trudie at Curves and we worked out together for many years with a group of early morning regulars. Her good nature, strength and constant smile were an inspiration. The Covid pandemic forced a quick good bye. She will be remembered always. I hope you all find comfort in the memories you made with her. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear family of Gertrude Caruso. I toowas born in Newnan, Ga. Trudie and I were probably in the baby room together at the First Methodist Church in Newnan. We went to the same church. Were in school together from first through graduation. We were roommates at LaGrange College for a time. A lifetime friendship. I talked with her shortly before her passing. Will miss she and Joe very much. Prayers for all the family.
