Dr. Olsen Jordan

Dr. Olsen Jordan Rogers, Jr., affectionately known as "Duke" or "Doc", age 61, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 12, 2021. A gathering of family and friends will be held at First Christian Church, 3638 Middle Urbana Road, Springfield, Ohio, 45502, on Friday, August 20, 2021, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A Celebration of Life Service will be at the church on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at 11:00am. He will be laid to rest in Whittier, California. Livestreaming of the service will be available from the Littleton & Rue Facebook page beginning Saturday at 11:00am. The family respectfully requires that all guests wear a mask at the viewing and service. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that contributions be made to Urban Light Ministries, PO Box 3132, Springfield, Ohio, 45501, or by visiting

www.urbanlight.org. Online expressions of sympathy may be made at www.littletonandrue.com.

Prayers for the Rogers family. Dr.Rogers was patient and kind, especially with screaming kids. He would always look for monkeys in their ears. We will miss him dearly.

Heartfelt Sympathy to Dr. Toni Sublett Rogers, children & family in the sudden loss of Dr. Olsen Rogers. My heart is very deeply saddened to hear of his passing. Dr. Rogers has been the Pediatrician for our 4 children his entire career here in Springfield;our last child is in college and he will be greatly missed. I will never forget his care,wisdom ,and the advice he gave our children as they were preparing to graduate from high school; that was to insert their name into a scripture ,that he gave them ,& seek God for guidance on their purpose in life & careers. He was an incredible person , doctor , & man of God. My prayers and thoughts are with you all now and always. God´s blessings and love to you always!!!!

We offer our condolences to the family, friends of Dr. Rogers. He will greatly be missed by us, when we took our son Jaeshaun into see him. He always greeted us with a smile, asked how we ALL was doing. REAL great with the kids of all ages. GOD recieved a great doctor, man. It's been a pleasure to talk to him thru our visits. May family and friends get strength, comfort, love, from GOD ABOVE!!!

My condolences to you Mrs. Rogers and to your children. I am very sorry for your loss. My heart is heavy and aches with your hearts in this very dark and difficult time. I am thankful for Brother Olsen / Dr. Rogers' life and the blessing that he was in this earth. I met him and learned so much about him through my younger cousin Dayo S. Oyelakin who has always spoken much and very highly of Brother Olsen ever since Dayo and I reconnected about 10 years ago or so. Brother Olsen was and is very important to Dayo which made Brother Olsen very important to me and to my entire family. It made him part of our family because of the great blessing that always was to Dayo even up until his last days he was there for Dayo, helping him, mentoring him, being Dayo's Big Brother. What a legacy Brother Olsen has left even with Dayo and our family. I can't even imagine just how great a legacy he has actually left with all of the lives that he has touched in total being the giving and caring man and person that he was. May the Lord comfort, give grace and strength to you you and to your children and to all who mourn that Brother Olsen is no longer with us in the earth. May we rejoice that he is with the Lord our God in peace and experiencing great joy at this very moment. May the Lord be glorified and honored in Brother Olsen's life as well as in his death. May the Lord's will be done. Amen.

RIP to the best pediatrician that ever lived. thank you so much for taking care of our son grant when he was young, you always knew EXACTLY what to do. i also loved how you always knew each childs name by sight. you were an incredible man and will be missed by many. thanks for keeping springfields children healthy these many years
